Hello and happy Sunday. I know I’ve neglected you, but I’m back with not one but two posts, so I hope you forgive me. Granted, today you’re getting a post a book I didn’t finish, but that’s better than nothing, right? I’m talking about Les Be Honest by Sarah Robinson, which I got via Netgalley, so I’d like to thank them, the author and the publisher.
I started reading this book because I was doing this “read the first chapter” kind of challenge, and this one was kind of high up in the list, meaning that it sparked my interest from the very beginning. However, as I kept reading, the interest was pretty much lost, and I can clearly identify two reasons for this. The first one is that the characters were not at all relatable. I don’t always have to read books about people that I can relate to, but I do appreciate reading about people that I know actually exist and I could at least have a conversation with. The second reason is that I felt like the plot was going in circles at times, like the same situation repeated itself over and over again, it wasn’t fun or interesting to read about.
