Hello and happy Sunday. I’m a week behind on posts and I don’t know when or how I’ll go back to “real-time” posting, but that’s not my problem right now. A few months ago, I decided I’d read the first chapter of a bunch of Netgalley ARCs I had, and based on my initial interest, I’d continue on reading. I then added some more books to the list, and I’ve also read some that weren’t originally on any list, just because. I am pretty sure that with that I have a TBR that will last me the entirety of 2024, or at least the first half of it. Hannah Tate Beyond Repair by Laura Piper Lee was one of the first books on the original list.
It makes sense that this book is classified and sold as a romance because it features one, but it’s about more than that. We basically follow Hannah Tate, our main character, as she experiences as a newly single (new) mom, and all that being an adult entails. That obviously involves meeting someone and starting a relationship with them, but unlike other romance novels, this does not become the main issue throughout the plot. The love interest is not even present in entire chapters. It is also categorized as a “spicy romance” because there are a few explicit sex scenes, so be mindful of that. All in all it was an alright book and I’d read other novels from this author.
