Hello and happy Sunday. If you read my previous review, then you already know that I’m a bit disappointed at myself for not reading as many books in August. As of right now, actually, I was only able to finish one book from the ones I got via Kindle Unlimited, which probably means that the answer to the title question is “no.” Either way, let’s do a more detailed analysis of the Kindle Unlimited books I acquired and consumed in August.

-Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt: $9.99

This was a DNF, which is why I did not post any reviews on it. Had it been the only KU book I’d gotten and consumed, albeit partially, it wouldn’t have been worth the monthly $11.99.

-The Heiress by Rachel Hawkin: $14.99

I reviewed this just yesterday, so you can check out my previous post to read about my thoughts on this book. As you can see, it alone “paid” for the monthly Kindle Unlimited subscription, and I even got it for cheaper than I would have without it. This all means that, yes, despite having had a slow reading month, my Kindle Unlimited subscription was worth it during August.

-The Cleaners by Ken Liu: $1.99 (Audible: $1.74)

I am listening to this short story on Audible as I type this post. It’s part of a short story series titled the Faraway collection, and I’d already reviewed Rainbow Rowell’s piece. Next week I will give you my review. Right now I’m happy that I got a little extra for my August subscription. Not all was lost in the end.
