Hello and happy Saturday. I recently read the Lonely Hearts Day, which is the latest novella by Kasie West. This novella follows two best friends every year on Valentine’s Day during high school…I’m not even sure that was grammatically correct, but I hope it was somewhat understandable. It follows the model all her books do, no surprises there. It also has the best friends trope, which Kasie West has already used, so I didn’t really feel there was anything original about it. If anything, it served as a palate cleanser and a confirmation that my taste as a reader has changed.
