Hello and happy Sunday. Before I start this post, I want to give out two disclaimers, okay? Okay.
- I know I’ve promised at least three times this year that I’ll try not to star another reading challenge and then quit it like I’ve done before. I want to share ideas that I can maybe consider in the future. I currently am happy reading pretty freely and will continue doing so, at least for a while. Maybe we can have the Camila of 2026 look this up?
- I use AI quite often. I’m not here to discuss the ethics of it. If you don’t like it, that’s completely valid. You don’t have to use it. But also, I don’t really want to hear about that. Kindly.
Now, in case you want AI to generate reading challenges for you, here’s the prompt I used:
You have a book blog and are looking for creative incentives to tackle your list of books to read. Generate 20 reading prompts base on the words in the titles. Avoid prompts that reference articles, conjunctions or interjections. Here’s an example to follow: Read books that have a color in the title.
Now, out of the 20 options I got, I only chose five. I used this prompt for ChatGPT and Gemini. I think both lists are pretty similar, but that might be because they’ve already gone through a screening process by me. Here are the lists:
CHATGPT
- Books with a number in the title.
- Books that feature a season.
- Books that contain a character’s name in the title.
- Books that have a feeling or emotion in the title.
- Books that include a type of food or drink in the title.
GEMINI
- Books that have an animal in the title.
- Books that have a profession in the title.
- Books that have a body part in the title.
- Books that have a flower in the title.
- Books that have a piece of clothing in the title.
