Hello and happy Saturday. I just sent one of those “I don’t want to continue pursuing this” voice notes to a guy I met this weekend. Being an adult is incredibly fun, right? Recently I read Hallie Hath No Fury by Katie Finn (aka Morgan Matson). This novella is a part of the Broken Hearts & Revenge series, and from what I understand, it provides some context for the first novel. Not that you *need* to read the novella before the actual first volume, but you know. I did and I’m excited to go over that book in a few weeks.
I think it’s the perfect summer read and I appreciate that it’s not as fluffy or cutesy as other young adult novels. I also liked the fact that the characters are not particularly likeable or good people. They lie and they have plans to exact revenge on others, and that’s actually how teenagers are, so I found it refreshing. I think that talking about the plot takes away from the experience of reading this novella, since it’s super short. If you’re looking for quick reads to add to your summer list, this can be a good addition.
