Hello and happy Wednesday. In a few hours, I’ll be going to the airport because I’m traveling to the city where my dad lives to visit him. You can’t tell, but I’m super excited because I love airports and planes, and I’m obviously looking forward to spending the weekend with my dad. When I’m about to travel, I always like to select the perfect book, and I think Kissing Ted Callahan (and Other Guys) by Amy Spalding is just that.

This is a very refreshing YA novel about a pair of friends who start this plan to date different people and document their findings in this special notebook. They’re a guy and a girl, but no, they never consider dating each other, which is one of the things I find refreshing. I also found it messy and genuine and the love interest, Ted Callahan, was kind of a dork, and that was also cool to read about. I mean, I liked very few people while I was in high school, but even in my 30s, I don’t go for jocks or guys who seem to have their lives together. It was a nice, quick read that I didn’t hear many people talking about at the time of its release.
