My Thoughts on Chubby, Charming, and Chaotic

Hello and happy Thursday. I came back from a trip tomorrow and I’m happy to be back home, with my to-do list. Today I’m bringing you the opposite of a recommendation, a rant for sure. I recently read Chubby, Charming, and Chaotic, which is the second book in the Plush Daisies series by Ava Catori.

Look, I used to be fat not many years ago, and despite what some people might try to sell online, inhabiting a fat body makes you feel undesirable. At least that’s what happened to me, which is why I tried to read romance novels featuring fat women. The first book in this series was below average, but not really problematic, but this one? Wow. The underlying message of this novel was: it doesn’t matter if you have zero chemistry with the person and that causes communication issues and has you second-guess your every move; you’re fat and old and this is a good as you’re going to get, so settle.

Honestly, don’t waste your time or your money buying this. It’s not even worth writing a whole essay about everything that’s wrong with it. Just, no.
