Hello and happy Friday. About a month ago, as the school year wrapped up and I basically had nothing to do but wait for time to pass by, I took Boy Proof by Cecil Castellucci to work and attempted to read it while I could. I say “attempted” because I had a hard time with the first chapter. I didn’t really understand the kind of story that was being told.

I pushed through, thankfully, and ended up enjoying this novel about a geek girl while she explores who she is and what she likes. Beyond that first chapter, I found this an easy and quick book to read, and I think it would be appreciated by tween and teen readers who might be going through what Egg, our main character, was.
