Hello and happy Sunday. I have another recommendation if you want to read a romance book that isn’t a romcom. You’ve read the title of this post, so you know I’m talking about If Tomorrow Never Comes by Allison Ashley. Our female main character meets the love interest in the first chapter, the day before she’s getting a bone marrow transplant or something of the sort. She’s staying at a hotel in a different city, and after her meet cute with the love interest, she disappears without having exchanged any information with him. They end up meeting again the following year under somewhat complicated circumstances, but it’s evident that whatever drew them to each other in the past is still there.
I appreciated the fact that this book made me think about morality, and even made me question what I’d do if I were in a situation like the one our main character finds herself in. It also depicts healthy and prompt communication, which romcoms, even those featuring people in their late twenties or early thirties seem to lack. All in all, it’s one of those books I’d like more people to read and talk about.
