Hello and happy Saturday. I’ve read several short story collections and other types of anthologies, but I’d never read one in graphic format. Girl Town by Carolyn (or Casey) Nowak is exactly that: a collection of short stories, yes, but in graphic novel format. Would it also be okay to say in comic format? I know those two aren’t really the same, so I’m not sure what the appropriate terminology is.
As you might have guessed by the title, all the stories in Girl Town feature women as their main characters. I’d say most of the stories have some sort of queer rep and deal with relationships. I always enjoy this format even though I don’t reach for it as much as I would prose or even verse, so I’d recommend this book.
