Hello and happy Sunday. A few years ago I used to adore Holly Bourne, so much so that I decided I’d read every book she wrote. My tastes have changed, though, and I’m pretty sure this is an author I’d say doesn’t stand the test of time. Again, I’m talking specifically about my reading experience and I’m not making any general statements.

I started thinking about this after DNFing It Only Happens in the Movies earlier this year, and even though I did finish What Magic Is This, I can confirm that my love for Holly Bourne has run it’s course. Now, this doesn’t mean that I’ll delete her books from my TBR or even from my wishlist. I’ll simply adjust my expectations and avoid feeling guilty if her work doesn’t evoke the emotions it did when I was in my early to mid twenties because I’m no longer that person.
