Hello and happy Sunday. By the time you read this, I’ll be in Panama, either at the beach or by the pool, celebrating my 32nd birthday. I don’t know what I’ll be reading then, but if it’s even somewhat similar to the novelization of My Neighbor Totoro, I’ll be satisfied.

Like I just stated, this novel written by Tsugiko Kubo is an adaptation of the movie by Hayao Miyazaki, and that is my comfort/feel-good movie, so I was very excited to experience it as a book. It honestly feels like a hug, and it is written so simply that young readers can understand and enjoy it. I even got a tattoo of a quote from it, and I’d definitely reread it.
