Hello and happy Saturday. Today I’ll introduce you to your favorite book of the year. I’m talking about The Fourth Daughter by Lyn Liao Butler. I read it via audiobook, which I got from Kindle Unlimited, and I totally suggest consuming it this way. I’m not sure whether it’s a contemporary or a historical novel because it alternates timelines and perspectives.
Basically, our main character’s grandmother had her child, her fourth daughter, kidnapped when she was a toddler, and years later she’s certain she saw her in the street. This is why she has her granddaughter help her find her daughter. This story has everything. It’s deep and complex, it has romance, and it even involves politics. Honestly, even though it took me a few months to sit down and write this post, I’m glad I did because now more people know about this amazing book.
