Hello and happy Sunday. If I’ve accidentally already reviewed Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss by Kasie West, I’m sorry. As I’ve stated in previous posts, all her novels just sort of blend in together, and it makes it hard for me to know which I’ve read and reviewed and which I haven’t.

This one follows a teenage actress who falls for her tutor. Don’t worry, though, he’s only 19, so yes, it’s definitely illegal, but it’s also kind of cute, right? There’s no excuse or justification for those kinds of “age gaps,” when it would be perfectly fine to make the main character eighteen years old, but I feel like books published in the 2010s were their own kind of messed up, even if this one was published in 2019. Now, does this book stand the test of time? No, but I will be looking out for and possibly reading this author’s newer releases in the hopes that they are at least a bit more original.
