Hello and happy Sunday. We all know that I’m in my 30s, right? I’m 32, to be exact, and though I’m not desperate to get married, and even less so to have kids, I do want that in my life and I know that, whether I like it or not, time is a factor. That, as you can imagine, gets me into this headspace, and when I’m feeling that way, I want to read books that sort of reassure me that I will get what I want and it’ll be amazing and worth the wait. I’m not talking about self-improvement books here, although it’s not a secret that I enjoy those from time to time.
I’m talking about novels like You’ll Find It All Still Here by Lisa Greenwald, which feel like a hug, like someone is cheering for me. I consumed this book via audiobook, which was available on Kindle Unlimited, and it took me no more than two days (so, really like two mornings and two evenings.) It takes place in adult camp, which is actually a thing, within a weekend. Did I google adult camps? Yes. Am I going to one? Hopefully in the future. Our main character, Mira, goes there because it was a present from her Bubbie for her birthday. What she experiences, besides a trip down memory lane, is sort of a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance, that I think many people her age need to go through.
Do I think this book is very niche? Yes. Am I exactly the target reader for it? Yes. Give this book a chance. The worst thing that can happen is that you either hate or DNF it, and the best is that you have a great time and you possibly find a new favorite.
