Hello and happy Saturday. I recently read the audiobook version of Ali Rosen’s latest release, The Slow Burn, via Kindle Unlimited. I’ve posted about this author before, and I think this is the third book of hers that I’ve finished.

Like her other novels, this is a contemporary romance featuring people in their 30s who’ve experienced life and loss and who aren’t into playing games. Our main character is a chef, whose restaurant in New York City just burnt down and who got broken up with her boyfriend the same day. This leads her to travel to Italy, for her best friend’s grandmother, and learn to make pasta during the summer. It was an alright novel, not my favorite from hers or at all, but it kept me entertained.
