Hello and happy Wednesday. Yes, I’m blogging every day this month, and yes, that means I’m scheduling my posts way in advance. I love being able to do this, and I love the extra time that I get in July to read, review books, and always look for more titles to add to my Wishlist.

On vacation I usually read a lot, both in terms of the number of books, but also in terms of variety. In fact, I read several middle-grade books, such as The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling. Don’t get confused by the vibrant cover or by the fact that the book is about chocolate. This was a creepy retelling of King Midas’s myth, probably written to dissuade kids from eating too much candy. It was, in fact, a quick read, but not one I recommend to young readers or teachers who want to set up a reading plan for their class.
