Hello and happy Friday. You know that for a while now I’ve been trying to read basically every book from my TBR, but especially those I acquired in the mid 2010s that I probably wouldn’t reach for nowadays. One of those books is Things We Know by Heart by Jessi Kirby.

This is a YA romance, and it’s important to keep that in mind because that means we know that, pretty much whatever happens, the main character and the love interest will end up together, right? As I’ve said in other posts, we read this books to know how that happens, since we already know what happens. Well, we’re told our main character’s boyfriend recently died and his organs were donated. So, naturally, she, the MC, goes and looks for the person who got his heart, a guy her age who lives sort of close to her hometown or something. Yes, it gets kind of messy, but YA-romance messy. I’ll give the author props for the creative storyline, but other than that, it’s, in my opinion, your typical middle-of-the- road novel.
