Hello and happy Sunday. Today I want to tell you about a book that you’ll probably have little faith in at the beginning, but that will not just grow on you; this book will crawl into you and settle very close to your heart and remain there. It’s one of those novels that become a quiet favorite, and that leave you sort of needing to digest everything before jumping to the next one. I am talking (writing) about Trust Me on This by Lauren Parvizi.

This story, which I suggest getting as an audiobook, if you can, is told from the perspectives of two half sisters as they embark on a road trip to see their dying father one last time. It is for the most part heavy-hitting, so I would look up content and trigger warnings beforehand, but it’s done in such a subtle, gentle way. It is all in all a beautiful book.
