Hello and happy Wednesday. Remember when I told you I thought I was done with Kasie West? Well, that’s still true, but only when it comes to her young adult books. Probably one of my favorite reads of 2025 was We Met Like This, her adult contemporary romance novel.

I think that writing about adults in their thirties gave her the chance to explore themes that she was leaving out in her YA novels, like online dating, sex or expectations in terms of dating and relationships. That’s what made this book so fresh and original because it kept her fun writing style, while incorporating these adult elements. If you like adult contemporary romance, give this a chance.
