Hello and happy Sunday. If you’ve been around for a while, then you’ve probably witnessed how, a few yeas ago I questioned whether Kasie West, among other authors, could still be considered one of my favorites. I then decided that maybe I was done with her or too old for her novels, and then I read her adult novel and changed my mind once again. Maybe This Time is a young adult novel, but the characters read older, like they’re closer to eighteen than fifteen. And although we don’t have sex scenes or nothing too explicit, it’s evident that this novel breaks the formula Kasie West had been using with her previous ones, you know, the ones titled “x, y, and the adjective z.” I always happen to read Kasie West right before my vacations are about to end, and although this time I was halfway through my July holiday, I was happy that I’d kept on that sort of tradition. No need to tell you much about the plot, right? It’s young adult romance, after all, though a bit more refreshing for sure.
